1. About Lugha Nour™
Lugha Nour™ is a free educational resource created to support the study of the Arabic language. It is shared in the spirit of sadaqah jariyah and with the hope that it may benefit fellow learners.
Lugha Nour is an independent project created by a fellow student of knowledge. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any publisher, curriculum provider, institution, author, or third-party website referenced within its resources.
2. Ownership and Brand
The Lugha Nour™ is operated by its creator (the "site owner"). The Lugha Nour™ name, logo, and visual identity identify this website and its resources.
The tagline “Spring of Hearts | ربيع قلبي”
is used as part of the site's identity. Lugha Nour does not claim ownership of the phrase as language, only of its use together with the site's logo and branding.
Unless otherwise stated, the following original elements were created for Lugha Nour, belong to the site owner, and may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws:
- written explanations and annotations
- graphics and visual study guides
- the presentation of the flashcards
- the selection, organization, wording, and presentation of tables and other study materials
Lugha Nour does not claim ownership of the Arabic language, individual Arabic words, common grammatical terminology, grammatical rules, facts, ideas, Qur'anic text, hadith text, traditional du'as, or materials owned by third parties. Where existing linguistic or educational material has been selected, organized, or annotated for the site, any claim applies only to the original elements added: the selection, organization, annotation, explanation, and presentation.
3. Content Sources
3.1 Vocabulary Resources
The vocabulary resources on Lugha Nour were initially developed alongside the Attakallum series, which remains their main framework.
The vocabulary has been supplemented with additional words drawn from reading materials and independent Arabic references, together with synonyms, antonyms, plural forms, grammatical information, and other study notes.
Individual Arabic vocabulary words are not claimed as proprietary content.
Lugha Nour does not reproduce complete copyrighted textbooks, dialogues, reading passages, exercises, or other proprietary course materials.
3.2 Grammar Study Resources
The Arabic grammar resources, including summary tables on Arabic connectors, visual guides, and explanatory notes, are based on materials and references used in the site owner's own studies.
These resources may draw upon established grammatical rules, terminology, examples, textbooks, and other Arabic-language references. Where appropriate, sources are identified within the relevant section or accompanying notes.
The original organization, explanatory wording, annotations, comparisons, tables, and visual presentation created specifically for Lugha Nour remain the work of the site owner unless otherwise indicated.
As Lugha Nour grows, additional sources may be added and identified within the relevant sections.
4. Permitted Use
Lugha Nour is free to use for personal, non-commercial learning and study. You are welcome to:
- Use the website, flashcards, and grammar resources for your own Arabic learning.
- Take personal study notes from what you learn on the site.
- Keep private copies for your own study, such as printing a table or importing flashcards into a flashcard app for yourself. Please do not post or share these copies.
- Use individual pages, tables, or flashcards in a class you teach, for example by printing a table for your students or displaying a page on screen, as long as you keep Lugha Nour's name and a link on what you share and do not sell or license the material itself.
- Share links to Lugha Nour with fellow students, teachers, family, or anyone who may benefit.
- Briefly quote or reference material from the site with credit (see Section 6).
No fee is charged for access to the educational resources on Lugha Nour.
5. Restrictions
Except where permitted by applicable law or with prior written permission, you may not:
- Reproduce or redistribute substantial portions of Lugha Nour's original materials, including republishing complete flashcard collections, connector tables, or visual guides on another website, platform, document, database, or course.
- Sell, license, or otherwise commercially exploit Lugha Nour's original materials
- Repackage substantial portions of Lugha Nour's materials and present them as your own work
- Remove copyright, authorship, source, trademark, or attribution notices
- Use bots, scrapers, or similar automated tools to systematically collect substantial content from the website, except for ordinary search-engine indexing or as otherwise authorized.
- Use the website's original materials to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning or AI models, or to build datasets for that purpose.
- Use the Lugha Nour™ name, logo, or branding in a manner that suggests affiliation, endorsement, or ownership without permission
- Claim authorship or ownership of Lugha Nour's original materials.
These restrictions are not meant to prevent ordinary learning, note-taking, discussion, teaching from your own knowledge, or your own independent expression of Arabic grammatical concepts. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable law.
6. Sharing and Attribution
Sharing links to Lugha Nour™ is warmly encouraged. When briefly quoting, referencing, or discussing original Lugha Nour material, please credit Lugha Nour™ and, where possible, link to the original page. Permission to share a link or quote briefly is not permission to reproduce an entire flashcard collection, study table, visual guide, or other substantial portion of the website. Where Lugha Nour identifies a third-party source, that source remains the source of its own material. Crediting Lugha Nour does not replace any attribution owed to that third party.
7. Third-Party Materials, Links and Credits
Lugha Nour™ may use or reference materials created by third parties, and ownership of those materials stays with their creators or rights holders. Third-party images and other materials are identified on the website's Credits page where appropriate, and materials used under a license remain subject to that license. The website may link to third-party sites, including publishers, Arabic-learning resources, and reference websites, for reference, convenience, or acknowledgment of sources. A link does not mean the third party sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with Lugha Nour, and it does not mean Lugha Nour endorses everything on the linked site. Lugha Nour is not responsible for the availability, content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of third-party websites.
8. Educational Disclaimer
The materials on Lugha Nour™ are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Lugha Nour is created and maintained by a fellow student of knowledge who is still learning. Every reasonable effort is made to consult reliable references and review the material carefully, but mistakes, omissions, or differences of interpretation may remain. Please use the grammar notes, vocabulary information, and explanations as study aids rather than as definitive or authoritative references, and consult your teachers and trusted Arabic references to verify anything important.
The website and its materials are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that the content is complete, accurate, current, or free from error. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its materials, including reliance on its content for exams, coursework, or translation work. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Copyright Concerns and Corrections
If you believe material on Lugha Nour infringes your copyright or other rights, or you notice an error, an uncredited source, or a needed correction, please write to the address in Section 12. For a rights concern, please include:
- the page or item you are concerned about
- the work you believe is affected, with a link or citation where possible
- your name, your contact details, and your relationship to the work
The site owner will review good-faith concerns and, where appropriate, add a credit, correct the material, or remove it.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the site owner resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
11. Availability and Changes
Lugha Nour may be changed, updated, reorganized, made temporarily unavailable, or discontinued at any time, and no particular page, feature, or resource is guaranteed to remain available.
These Terms may be revised as the website grows. When material changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the website after revised Terms are posted means you accept them, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
